About Us

Our team

At our office, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

  • Kirsten – You’ll first meet Kirsten at the front desk. She’s excited to welcome you, help with paperwork and insurance verification, and is currently training to become a mastectomy fitter.

  • Stacy – Working mostly behind the scenes, Stacy keeps everything running smoothly and is always ready to step in wherever she’s needed around the office.

  • Joanie – Our certified mastectomy fitter, Joanie, brings years of expertise and compassion to every fitting. She’s dedicated to making sure you receive the best experience and product recommendations possible.

  • Adam – As the owner, Adam spends much of his time working in healthcare elsewhere in the community, but he’s always happy to meet with you or connect by phone if you’d like.

Together, we’re committed to providing you with professional, compassionate, and personalized care.

Our history

Cape Girardeau Surgical Supply, LLC opened its doors in 2024 in a small space next to a general surgery office under the name Cape Surgical Boutique and Supply. From the very beginning, our goal was to better serve patients seeking breast forms and mastectomy bras.

As we grew, we expanded our offerings to include lymphedema compression garments and broadened our mission to welcome anyone in search of a better bra fit.

From the start, Adam Pople served as administrator for the company, and in June 2025 he took the exciting step of purchasing the business from the original owners. Shortly after, in September 2025, we rebranded as The Breast Boutique and moved into our new home at 107 West Dr. in Cape Girardeau.

Though we are still a young company, our passion, compassion, and dedication to our patients guide us as we look forward to the future and all that it holds.

We understand that out of network costs can be expensive, so we will work to try and get single event exceptions whenever possible so we can work with any insurance.

CMS Provider Guidelines

You always have the right to choose to not use your insurance.  There may also be a situation where you do not meet the medical necessity guidelines for insurance coverage.  In these cases, we offer cash pay arrangements for any item in our shop.  Some insurances require us to document that you chose to cash pay, so there may be an additional paper we ask you to sign.

We follow all of the CMS Durable Medical Equipment Supplier Standards.  A full list of the CMS provider guidelines can be found in our office or by clicking here.

Resupply Quantity and Timeline

Resupply Quantity and Timeline

Most of the insurances we are in-network with follow Medicare guidelines for resupply.  For breast forms, Medicare allows 1 light weight form every six months for each effected side OR 1 silicone or equivalent form every 2 years for each effected side.  For bras to hold forms, Medicare allows as many as medically necessary every 90 days, which has typically been interpreted as 4 every 90 days.  For lymphedema compression garments, 3 daytime garments are allowed every 6 months and 2 nighttime garments are allowed every 2 years.

These are guidelines.  To ask questions about your specific insurance, equipment, and resupply eligibility, please contact our office.
